This layout was made using a Scrapbook Generations May 2013 kit. This was Nathan's first year at Camp Stewart the best boys camp that there is! He is there right now spending his 9th summer. This first year he went for two weeks. When we picked him up he dragged his dad to signups and told him "You are signing me up for a month next summer, this was WAY too short!" He has gone for a month every summer since then. In the bottom left hand photo is Nathan with Si Ragsdale, the owner of the camp. It is one of the few photos I have of Nathan and Si. Si died a couple of years ago and his son Jeepers Ragsdale now runs the camp.
In this photo you see Nathan first playing golf and first doing archery, both things he loves to this day. He is also riding which is probably what he is doing at camp this very minute! He is happiest when he is at camp!

Cards and New Layout
I took a very good card class at Novel Approach in Friendswood, TX. I was 30 minutes late to class and missed the instructions on the first card so I didn't realize I was supposed to stamp second or third generation stamps so that card didn't turn out very well.
The owl was made by cutting in half a scroll die, adding flower cutouts as feet and attaching ribbon scraps with scor tape. It was easy and fun.
The wash tape card is realy cute. It was made using 4 types of Washi alternating laying a horizontal, a vertical, the other horizontal and the other vertical. It was super quick and can be used on so many different cards if you need a quick one.
The flower card was made by crumpling up circles, uncrumpling and crumpling again. My hint on this is to be careful because mine ripped a couple of places. There are two of each size circle layered.
Scrapbook pages from Scrapbook Generations May kit. Photos are from the state soccer playoffs a few years ago in the rain and mud in San Antonio.

Good Day
Here is a layout using the May kit from Scrapbook Generations. I used a few extras from my stash to give it a little more depth.
These were photos taken while Carly and her friend were on the bus on the way to a soccer game. There must have been 20 of these on her phone so this is just a small sampling.
The kids are off at camp for a month. Nathan is a ranchman and Carly is on the quadrille and war canoe teams so it will be a busy month for both of them.

National Scrapbook Day Layouts - Part 2
The first three of these layouts were from the April Super Sketch Club by Scrapbook Generations. I liked using them for a nontraditional Christmas Layout. I also used one for a layout of moving in to our new house and the other for things we liked in the model home before we bought it.
The next two are also from Scrapbook Generations April Sketch Day One. One is of a trip up to upstate New York with Anita and Steve, Laura and James. They went on a trail ride but Nathan was too young so I stayed behind with him. The other is of Nathan's 14th birthday. I really like this paper.

National Scrapbook Day Layouts - Part 1
I'm finally getting around to scanning and posting the layouts I did on NSD. This first group are layouts using kits from Out on A Limb Scrapbooking. I had these sitting around for awhile and finally decided to do them. This company quit making kits for awhile but is now making them again. The kids liked the die cuts so I got these to make layouts for them. I finally pulled them out and did them. The first three are sports layouts from when the kids were very little. Some were from Carly's first year ever playing soccer. I had no idea how much she would end up loving the sport!
The next three photos are two of Christmas and one of a play that Carly was in.
Carly's American Dream Album
Here are the photos from Carly's American Dream Album. Several were made using Scrapbook Generations Sketches. These were for an assignment in her 10th grade English class.
Juma's Scrapbook
I finally finished the 74 page album for Carly't trainer. He is going away to Tanzania to start a youth soccer league. This has been a dream of his for years but we are going to miss him so very much. Here are a few pages. The entire album is available to view on Picasa
