Some weekend layouts

The first two layouts are Scrapbook Generations.  The first is an Allison Davis sketch from the July Kit.  I also used a Studio Calico Card.  These pictures were just hanging out around the house.  I love the two of my daughter actually hugging her brother.  That doesn't happen much anymore.  Then there are the three of you in the Dynamo shirt just being silly.  There is one of her petting Abigail just before her soccer banquet and the last two are before and after finals.  I just wanted to scrap some photos from around the house.

The next layout is of my daughter's soccer banquet.  It used the leftovers from the Scrapbook Generations kit above and a Debbie Sanders sketch. The photos were taken at a BBQ joint owned by her friend.  They have it decorated with animal heads and an antler chandelier that was beautiful.  This is all attached to a gas station that they also own.  Interesting place with great food!

The next two layouts used the July Scrapjammies kit.  The first one if of my son's second year at Camp Stewart.  It was his first year going for a month and he was so excited.  We were a little apprehensive.  Of course many years later he is still going every summer!  Last week he actually played football against the little boy that had the bunk next to him that summer.

This layout is of one night when my husband and son just decided to wrestle on the floor.  It was so funny and not very typical so I grabbed the camera.  I love these photos.

This has all been done during a very stressful week.  My husband is off bear hunting in Idaho completely out of touch.  My son nearly broke his arm playing football and can't play for a couple of weeks.  My daughter sprained her ankle last night playing indoor soccer.  It has been a wild week.

Basic Grey Cards

These are some Basic Gray cards from a nice card kit that I bought at Archiver's one day.  They were easy and fun to make and will be great to give to anyone!

Last Day of Camp

On this last day of camp Nathan wanted me to go on a walk with him.  I went and took these photos.  He was so happy and so much in his element.  I hate to take him out of it each year.  He loves it there so much!

For these photos I used a Scrapjammies kit called Hipster.  I thought it went well with the photos.

Blog Hop

Here is a new layout that I made for the Blog hop.  It is from the Scrapbook Generations 6 X 6 class, sketch #1.  If you haven't taken that class do it!  It is awesome!!

This is from my daughter going to a wonderful camp called Heart O' the Hills in Hunt TX.  She spent 9 summers there.

This was made with Cameo files, MME Six By Six Summer Splash Paper Pad and some DCWV bling hearts.  The alphabets are Thickers and Momenta alphabet stickers.

Here is one more layout from the 6 X 6 class.  It is sketch #6.  I uses MME Six By Six Gnome Sweet Gnome paper pad and thickets.

One other one from the 6 X 6 class.  This is sketch #2.  It uses Echo Park the Pier for photos from Galveston's Pleasure Pier

Kaleidoscope's Sketches

One of the ladies on my scrapbooking message board, Kaleidoscope, posted a challenge to use one of her sketches to make a layout and to make an envelope and card from one 12 X 12 paper.  I used two of her sketches, the first almost exactly and the second just the photo layout idea.  Here is what I came up with.  Again, these are of Nathan in his first year at camp.

Explosion of Fun

This layout was made using a Scrapbook Generations May 2013 kit.  This was Nathan's first year at Camp Stewart the best boys camp that there is!  He is there right now spending his 9th summer.  This first year he went for two weeks.  When we picked him up he dragged his dad to signups and told him "You are signing me up for a month next summer, this was WAY too short!"  He has gone for a month every summer since then.  In the bottom left hand photo is Nathan with Si Ragsdale, the owner of the camp.  It is one of the few photos I have of Nathan and Si.  Si died a couple of years ago and his son Jeepers Ragsdale now runs the camp.
In this photo you see Nathan first playing golf and first doing archery, both things he loves to this day.  He is also riding which is probably what he is doing at camp this very minute!  He is happiest when he is at camp!

Cards and New Layout

I took a very good card class at Novel Approach in Friendswood, TX.  I was 30 minutes late to class and missed the instructions on the first card so I didn't realize I was supposed to stamp second or third generation stamps so that card didn't turn out very well.

The owl was made by cutting in half a scroll die, adding flower cutouts as feet and attaching ribbon scraps with scor tape.  It was easy and fun.

The wash tape card is realy cute.  It was made using 4 types of Washi alternating laying a horizontal, a vertical, the other horizontal and the other vertical.  It was super quick and can be used on so many different cards if you need a quick one.

The flower card was made by crumpling up circles, uncrumpling and crumpling again.  My hint on this is to be careful because mine ripped a couple of places.  There are two of each size circle layered.

Scrapbook pages from Scrapbook Generations May kit.  Photos are from the state soccer playoffs a few years ago in the rain and mud in San Antonio.

Good Day

Here is a layout using the May kit from Scrapbook Generations.  I used a few extras from my stash to give it a little more depth.

These were photos taken while Carly and her friend were on the bus on the way to a soccer game.  There must have been 20 of these on her phone so this is just a small sampling.

The kids are off at camp for a month.  Nathan is a ranchman and Carly is on the quadrille and war canoe teams so it will be a busy month for both of them.

National Scrapbook Day Layouts - Part 2

The first three of these layouts were from the April Super Sketch Club by Scrapbook Generations.  I liked using them for a nontraditional Christmas Layout.  I also used one for a layout of moving in to our new house and the other for things we liked in the model home before we bought it.

The next two are also from Scrapbook Generations April Sketch Day One.  One is of a trip up to upstate New York with Anita and Steve, Laura and James.  They went on a trail ride but Nathan was too young so I stayed behind with him.  The other is of Nathan's 14th birthday.  I really like this paper.

National Scrapbook Day Layouts - Part 1

I'm finally getting around to scanning and posting the layouts I did on NSD.  This first group are layouts using kits from Out on A Limb Scrapbooking.  I had these sitting around for awhile and finally decided to do them.  This company quit making kits for awhile but is now making them again.  The kids liked the die cuts so I got these to make layouts for them.  I finally pulled them out and did them.  The first three are sports layouts from when the kids were very little.  Some were from Carly's first year ever playing soccer.  I had no idea how much she would end up loving the sport!

The next three photos are two of Christmas and one of a play that Carly was in.

Carly's American Dream Album

Here are the photos from Carly's American Dream Album.  Several were made using Scrapbook Generations Sketches.  These were for an assignment in her 10th grade English class.

Juma's Scrapbook

I finally finished the 74 page album for Carly't trainer.  He is going away to Tanzania to start a youth soccer league.  This has been a dream of his for years but we are going to miss him so very much.  Here are a few pages.  The entire album is available to view on Picasa

Two more pages

Tonight I mixed the old and the new.  The old was the paper.  Chatterbox Scrapbook Walls Greenhouse collection.  This was really popular many years ago.  The paper is very thin and difficult to work with but mixed well.

The event was several of the girls goofing around at school taking pics their cell phones.

I accidentally used one photo I had already scrapped but I left it in.

Up to 70

This layout is from the April Scrapbook Generations Kit.  I used pictures from last spring break in Destin, FL.  Carly wanted to title it Summer Lovin so I did!

68 projects Complete!

Today I finished up my Bo Bunny Christmas kit.  Here are the last few projects from it.

Also here are the last two pages I did on my trip.  There are hidden tabs with the journalling and extra pictures of our trip to Fredricksburg, TX National Museum of the Pacific War.
